تهدف حملات منظمة عنخ الى الحشد والدعوة إلى الدفاع عن القضايا الفردية أو الجماعية لأفراد مجتمع LGBTIQ + والأشخاص المتعايشين مع  فيروس نقص المناعة البشرية و / أو الفنانين الذين يواجهون القمع أو التمييز من قبل السلطات الحكومية أو المجموعات الاجتماعية.

نعمل بالتعاون مع الشركاء الإقليميين والدوليين من أجل إعداد حملات لتلبية الاحتياجات المختلفة حسب كل حالة ، وإحالتها إلى السلطات المحلية أو الإقليمية أو الدولية ذات الصلة.

من خلال الدعوات إلى العمل ، والرسائل المفتوحة ، والالتماسات ، والمناسبات العامة ، والاجتماعات مع صانعي السياسات ، ألقينا الضوء على حالات محددة من أجل تحسين الوضع العالمي لجميع أفراد المجتمع وإحداث تغيير في الأجندة السياسية في المنطقة.

Hossam Ahmed is an Egyptian trans man who was arrested on February 28, 2019, and is being imprisoned since then.

Hossam Ahmed was arrested alongside over 70 others in an ongoing arrest campaign sparked by social media users’ criticism of the government and calls for protests in the aftermath of a deadly train crash at Ramses Station that killed 22 and injured 43. The defendants are investigated under the Case 1739/2018.

On 28 February 2019, Egyptian actress and activist Eman Al-Helw was arrested alongside over 70 others in an ongoing arrest campaign sparked by social media users’ criticism of the government and calls for protests in the aftermath of a deadly train crash at Ramses Station that killed 22 and injured 43.

Malak al-Kashif is a transgender activist who has been arrested on 6 March 2019 by Egyptian security forces after having posted online criticism to the regime.

Egypt Universal Periodic Review (UPR)

The Universal Periodic Review (UPR) is a unique mechanism of the Human Rights Council (HRC) aimed at improving the human rights situation on the ground of each of the 193 United Nations (UN) Member States. Under this mechanism, the human rights situation of all UN Member States is reviewed every 5 years. In 2019, ANKH took part in the UPR process on Egypt in Geneva.

In March 2019, for 2 weeks the anti-retroviral drug “Dolutegravir- dolutégravir ” was not available at the Cairo Abaseya hospital, causing serious risks to the health and life of people living with HIV.  The Egyptian authorities must assume their responsibility and immediately provide adequate retroviral treatment to those in needs
